Great place for sushi. We love it! We make sure to go out of our way to stop here anytime we are in the area. The sushi chef is always super friendly and offers us tea while we wait if we get a to go order. The prices are extremely affordable and although we definitely have our favorites (try the shrimp tempura- you won't regret it) but we've never had any roll we didn't enjoy.

I want to start off by saying I didn't give it 5 stars because of the whole package, meaning: the entrance, building appearance and the vibe on the inside. That's why I didn't give it that one more star.
The entrance and the outside of the building doesn't look appealing what's so ever. If I didn't see the reviews I would not have believed it in a million years.
I would not bring someone here for a date or any of those sorts. It's an establishment to sit, eat, have two words with the sushi makers and leave.
WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM kind of place.
The sushi makers come out and take your order. They don't have great customer service in the sense that they greet, have a word or two about randomness... their mentality is "WHAM BAM give me your taste bud desires and I'll be right back with your delight"
They won't serve you water. Well, I didn't ask but they didn't offer because it's traditionally complementary.
Want something to drink? Get up and get it. They have a cooler in the corner.
Bathrooms? Not sure. Didn't use the bathroom. Maybe I'm glad I didn't.
Food? Delicious! Fresh and tasteful.
I had two rolls. My wife had two rolls (specialty kinds), two sodas and it came out to $51 with tip included.
A bit much? Yes, I agree. Maybe that's where the other star would be subtracted for.
Would I return? Yes. -

I ordered take out from here and while I was waiting for the sushi chef to make my sushi, he gave me free tea, and I LOVE tea, so I thought this was very nice and accommodating. The sushi was good, I ordered a philly roll and a rainbow roll (my fav), they were small pieces but I got what I paid for. They have lunch specials for cheaper so if you're around for lunch, get the lunch sushi special.

A quaint sushi place with very authentic overtones. The food is great and service simple and fast. You can feel the honored tradition and taste the art and love of the craft in the food.

Hole in the wall sushi place.. Found on yelp of course..
There are 3 tables in the whole restaurant. You are greeted by a man who serves you free tea, takes your order, and also makes your sushi! He was a one man show! It was a Tuesday night and this place was deserted and very VERY quiet. The two of us and our host- extraordinaire were the only ones present in the restaurant the whole time. No one coming in for pick up or anything.
The selection of food is purely Japanese cuisine, limited to only sushi and a few appetizers such as edamame, gyozas, and seaweed salad. Don't expect any noodles or rice sides going on here. The sushi itself was good. The spicy tuna roll is VERY spicy. The American roll and shrimp tempura roll were enjoyable. Our host also gave us some free green tea ice cream :)
